2011 TIDAL BAY WINS GOLD
The 2011 Tidal Bay wins Gold at the All Canadian Wine Champion Ship
in the category “White Hybrid Blends”
The Concept: The Winery Association of Nova Scotia (WANS) has formally developed an ultra-premium white wine Appellation with the purpose of showcasing signature-style products that are unique to our grape growing region. It also involved the creation of an independent tasting panel to assess all wines wishing to use the “Tidal Bay” designation.
The Grapes: The Grand Pré Tidal Bay is a blend of five different varieties: L’Acadie, Vidal, Ortega, Muscat and Seyval. All grapes are 100% grown in Nova Scotia’s Annapolis Valley and in order to ensure the highest quality juice, grape yields are restricted to only 3 tonnes per acre.
Tasting Notes: It has a distinctive brightness in the glass. The nose is fresh yet complex. The palate is dryishly crisp, with a body and fullness that lingers with every sip.
Food Pairings: Tidal Bay is the perfect complement to Nova Scotia seafood or to share with friends.
Enjoy a glass and enjoy the best of Nova Scotia. Serve at 14° – 16° C.
Cheers!
