Known as the James Crane House, the entire building has undergone extensive renovations to open what is now our winery Inn. Aware of the heritage and keeping in mind the building’s integrity, we have thoughtfully paid attention to detail when finishing and furnishing the home. The rooms have been enlightened with a fresh and modern take, while the classic and historic setting of the winery continues to grace the property. We are hoping to have created something special that reflects how important our guests are to us.
The Inn at Grand Pré Winery offers 6 suites, each with its own unique ensuite bathroom. There is one Queen room, four King rooms, and the top floor has a 2-bedroom suite. The 2-bedroom suite features one King room and one adjustable room that can either have a Queen-King size bed or two Twin beds upon request. All rooms have been designed for your ultimate comfort.
One of the special factors about the Inn is that it is set in our working winery environment. Throughout your stay, you will be greeted by the hum of farm machinery and our friendly vineyard staff. Along with our vineyard staff, you may have a chance to chat with Anna who tends to our gardens and can easily be seen early mornings watering the countless plants. We value each part of our winery and we want to share this flourishing environment with you!
Whether you begin your stay with tasting our award winning wines, or enjoy a local craft beer or cider with a tasty bite prepared by our talented chefs, we invite you to also savour our wonderful scenery. Please take the opportunity to stroll through the vineyard which overlooks the distinct dyke land of Grand Pré; this land is a designated UNESCO World Heritage site. While admiring this world recognized view, you can instantly relax and enjoy the beauty and agricultural bounty this area has to offer.
Our Inn can serve as your home base as you explore Nova Scotia Wine country. Whether you decide to sip wine at the many wineries, hike Cape Split, enjoy a walk on the conveniently located Harvest Trail, explore the charming university town of Wolfville with its interesting shops and several dining experiences, we are here to help you make lasting memories.
